Born in Estepa (Spain) in 1975. After studying recorder and lute with Guillermo Peñalver and Juan Carlos Rivera at Seville Conservatory, Jesus Fernandez furthered his training at the Koninklijk Conservatorium in Den Haag (Holland). He has worked with leading conductors such as Gabriel Garrido and Paul McCreesh. A permanent member of the ensembles Los Mvsicos de su Alteza and More Hispano, he is often engaged with other groups such as Al Ayre Español, among others.
He has founded the duo La Pellegrina with soprano Raquel Andueza for exploring mainly Italian and Spanish 17th c. music.
He has thaught the recorder at the conservatoria of Badajoz, Cádiz and Madrid, performing in Spain, France, Holland, Portugal, Switzerland, Belgium, Italy, Slovenia and Tunis.
